About
the alumni association
The Fern Creek Traditional
High School Alumni Association is more than a group that sits around and
chats about the good old days. The not-for-profit organization is not only a
vital lifeline for classmates to their alma mater, but also an active group
that generously shares its money to continually improve the school.
The alumni association
provides annual scholarships to deserving seniors and regularly finances
improvements for the facilities, including more than $40,000 to the library
and $20,000 to the science classes in recent years. The association has also
helped Fern Creek's athletic programs with new jerseys or field improvements.
The alumni association
also honors those who've made special contributions to the school by electing
an annual class to the Fern Creek Traditional High School Alumni Association
Hall of Fame. Other activities include an annual golf scramble and other
dinners to celebrate achievement.
The alumni association
also helps classes organize their reunions and, in 2004, promoted a
successful reunion of all the classes from the 1980s.
The association is headed by Brian Miller '77, Executive Director of Alumni and Community Relations.
